Ignore the sig, Right now I have 2 OCZ Plat Rev.2 DDR-400 1Gb sticks in my computer rated for 2.5-3-2-5 running at 288mhz.

I have never bothered to benchmark my ram before because I never suspected it to be a bottleneck, but after I learned that it can definitely be when I compared my 4400 to my friend's AM2 X2-4400 and he was getting better benchmarks then me...

Any ways to tweak my current sticks to get more performance out of them? Besides the obvious "More Hz!".

I have A64Tweaker, but I'm not familiar with it. Mabe a guide?

You have two options really. Crank the Mhz! or tighten the timmings. Unfortualty i am also unaware of how to use A64Tweaker, but try get the simple timmings down to 2,2,2,5

explains A64 a little
but geez thats smokin fast already
Heh, I've been blindly playing with A64Tweaker and so far I have boosted my performance by about 30%, after crashing ~20 times.
There really needs to be an advanced tweaking guide...

Right now these are the settings I have in A64Tweaker:

Even though the RAM can run at 2.8v... it can just BARELY run and crapps on me under load, so I have it at 2.9. My mainboard's max is 3v and I think I'll have to use more then a 3" fan if I go that far...

Latencies explained. http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2223&p=5

And, of course, my own: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/96478-what-effect-tref-overclocks.html

Few people know how to OC at the extreem, so it is hard to find answers once you get past a certain point. I can tell you that MAL and Read Preamble are the keys to stability.
I learned alot by reading onepagebook's posts. As he says "He who tries the most goes the fastest."

And, yes, this is DDR memory not DDR2, at 665.
