I have an xfx 750i sli MOBO and i'm tryiing to update my bios. I've downloaded the update and its a 113 file extension. How do get this update to run? All help is greatly appreciated.

The latest BIOS update (v1.41) for the XFX 750i is available as an ISO, which is contained in the downloaded *.zip; file name MB-750I-72P9_141.zip.

s is it just a case of copying to cd and booting from cd in bios?

I've now tried what i suggested in the post above. When i boot from the dvd drive at come up loading windows 98 ide 4 channels supported.

Then after a small pause it says no drives found.
A Abort R retry.

This is so confusing

You need to burn the ISO to disk and make it bootable. Then you need to change the boot priority in the BIOS, so your optical drive is the first boot device. You can use a program like ImgBurn to burn the ISO...

Personally, I'd read up on flashing the bios a little more.
If your flash goes bad,, you are up the creek without a paddle.
Why again, if I missed it, are you needing to flash the bios?
If it's a learning experience thing, do some homework.
Flashing a bios is a little riskier than burning a iso.
