I have been out of the loop for a while and it's shameful I haven't OC my main computer, but now I have the opportunity to upgrade once more for my aging system.
My 2GB G.Skill is seriously lacking with all the multitasking and now my return or catching up I should say, to pc games.
Here's what I have come up with as an upgrade:
4GB (2x2GB) [1066Mhz]

or should I just go for 8GB and sacrifice speed, latency and oC potential for these:
8GB (2x4GB) [800Mhz]

or should I go with my first choice and buy 2 pairs (4 sticks) instead?
I am reluctant to use 4 sticks to achieve 8GB because I was under the impression that 2 sticks (dual) led to more successful OC than 4 sticks (quad) because it used less power and removes any other unwanted variables within the memory.
On the other hand, I do like that it's 1066Mhz right off the bat.
Any advice?
