Hi Quick question. If you have 3 IDE devices, A Burner, A DVD, and A HardDrive, Which should get its own IDE channel?

I was thinking the HD. But then for burning, isn't it better to have the two drives on separate IDEs?

Thanks!
Jeff.

only if you do direct copying. you could give the hd its own channel and the setup your burning software to cache to the hd first and then burn.i think, at least in my case, the performance increase gained by haveing the hdd on a seperate channel outweight the slight decrease in cd copying performance. whats a couple of minutes on top of a coping a cd anyway?
