is there a difference in the performance between the AIW 9700 Pro and the NP?

all in wonder has additional video in and video out features that the 9700np does not have.

the 8500 all in wonder had lower clockspeeds than the non all-in-wonder 8500. However, ati decided against crippling the performance of the all in wonder 9700. it has the same gaming performance and the additional features.

ZaBomb4163 is correct! the 9700Pro AIW is just as fast as a non AIW 9700Pro.

there are TWO all in wonders. 9700pro all-in-wonder and 9700NON-PRO all in wonder. the NONPRO 9700-all-in-wonder is SLOWER than the 9700pro.

Sorry, didn't realize I had screwed up my question until now. What I was actually wanting to ask was is the performance the same with an AIW 9700 PRo as opposed to a NON-AIW 9700 Pro? Would I even need to install drivers for all the extra crap on the AIW if I don't even want to use it?

AIW Radeon 9700 (non-pro) performance = Radeon 9700 (non-pro) performance

AIW Radeon 9700 Pro performance = Radeon 9700 Pro Performance

my only question is if you weren't planning on using hte extra features why would you buy a all in wonder??

the features are very very nice. If your wondering if you should buy a 9700pro instead of a 9700nonpro all in wonder, i suggest the all in wonder. The 9700 will overclock to pro speeds and you will like the extra features.

Thanks for that link, there was some good info there for me. I think I was expecting to see sound integrated on the card as well. Don't ask me why I thought that though.
