radeon 9500 np power connector question

The radeon 9500 np has two power connectors, do I have to plug them both in to get the card to work? Also how would I do that? There is nothing to plug the female power connector into.

the female is just an extra plug for another device like a cd rom or hard drive. IE so you can run your graphics card and 1 other device off the same power cable.
