fx 5700 ultra or a 5900xt

i'm just curious which one is better the fx5700 ultra or a 5900xt because they are almost the same price. the 5900xt has 256bit but the 5700 has ddr2 so which is better

The 5900XT hands down. The 5900xt has a 256bit memory bus compared to the 5700's 128 which severely limits peformance.

only bad thing that i know of is that they have 700mhz mem... or 2.8ns

Its still faster when both are overclocked anyway.

True, but I cant seem to overclock it much on the mem. like to 750 maybe. Still messing with my 5950 bios and tryin to get it working right.

I heard a rumour that some MSI had quicker memory, even at 2.8ns though 256 bit bus gives more oomph. In the UK the 5900XT is also cheaper.
