Hello to all,

My first post, my stuff, my problem. >:-(

Abit VT6X4 w/ lastest bios
PIII 700E SL3XM cB0 @840 v1.75
Over Kill fan and torado case
256 PC133 Crucial
Matrox Mill. G400
SB live gamer
Linksys nic for the cable a must!
Win2000 pro/98se

When i try to go to 933, fsb at 133 v1.85
its boots up but when it goes to win it locks up on both OS

Right now i'm at 840 fsb 120 and all of my temps are good
cpu @42c under full load and the Linksys @ 37c when im playing online game or downloading

Is the mobo holding me back? I would rather spend a little on a new board then go out and buy a P4, mobo, and ram.

I would like to know your thoughts on this and on a new board
i really want to hit 933 or better with this cpu

Thanks

I have been running mine at 140 or 150 for at least 9 or 10
months now.

I got an EB chip, so maybe it acts different with yours.....

Some Abit boards had problems running at 133.
I have an Abit BE6II, and had that problem until i upgraded my bios.
I switched my system 2 days ago, to a Asus CUV4x-e... But i did get 940 out of my PIII 700 with my Abit. Cpu was at 44ºC full load.

You can allways try 132 or 134 FSB to see if it crashes or not!

I've tried it at 133 no problems in the bios on boot up, but when it goes into win2000 or win 98 locks up

i'm thinking of going with a AMD
i have been using intel for so long , TIME TO CHANGE.
