It had irq settings that i think are impossible they are to follow
IRQ Number Device
14 Primary IDE Channel
15 Secondary IDE Channel
31 Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
60 LT Win Modem
64 Creative SB Live! Basic (WDM)
68 Viper V550
72 3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI NIC (3C905-TX)
1 PC/AT Enhanced PS/2 Keyboard (101/102-Key)
6 Standard floppy disk controller
8 System CMOS/real time clock
13 Numeric data processor
12 Other Logitech Mouse PS/2

The very high ones are fixed and unchangeable do i need to just start over and format or is there a way to make these irq normal ive tried uninstalling them with no effect also i uninstalled all the items in my device listing to see if it put them all back if it would fix its self. i can not find a way to manually adjust the irq s they also have multiple input /output ranges and memory ranges all in the same irq this has me totally stumped the wildest thing is they seem to work most of the time the only big problem is my sound card wont work but the vid and obviously the modem work (go figure?)

ohh the mother board is a helious dual pent now micronics

HELP HELP!!!!

:(

First things first: does every device work as expected? If so, leave it be. It's just Windows 2000 messing with you- now Windows takes care of all IRQ issues for you, and sometimes it looks a little weird. Don't worry about it! (take screenshots tho as an IRQ of 60 is really weird!!)

Looks like you are saying only the sound card has problems- are you sure it is IRQ related? Might want to pull it out and look for jumpers; some older cards need to be set to a specific resource.

Aside from that, all I can think of is that some multi-CPU server boards have extremely nonstandard bits to them, your might be like that.

Good Luck!:D

Dual CPU systems have a different way of assigning IRQ's. What you are seeing is perfectly normal (have 3 duallies myself and get the same thing).

Here is a link to an article in the MSKB that explains what's going on.
