Anyone seen this? I've dumped 4 work units now due to a unit finishing, a new one downloading, and it sitting at 0% with no activity for hours. Log doesn't throw anything.

Good question. I've lost track of what I've tried in what order. I'm pretty sure I tried just a simple reboot and that had no effect. The only thing that changed on the machine before this started happening was I started testing a studio driver. Problem persists after reverting to a game ready driver though. No stability issues whatsoever in Windows, temps are fantastic and all that. I'm to the point I'm just going to reload Windows to rule out any weird software glitches. Lost 20 something expected WUs today from this thing sitting idle for no reason.

7.6.21. Yeah the only thing that fixes it that I have found is deleting everything and letting it start over with a new unit which then completes just fine. It'll churn through another couple of units and then hang at 0% on the 4th or 5th unit.

At the risk of insulting your intelligence: you mentioned changing drivers. did you use that app that windows users use to totally nuke the old driver? forgive me i remember not what it's called.

Well I don't know what to say about it. I rebooted it Tuesday morning when I got home from work, expecting it to chew another couple of units and then lock-up, but it has continued on so far with no failures, albeit about 4 million PPD slower than my other two.

FoldingAddict,
Looking at your user summary page, it looks as though you are encountering some issues in folding. I've seen you moving to catch and pass me. The last two days your PPD is way down.

Yeah I shutdown 2 cards. I'm not too sure how I can keep the room that they're in cool. With everything running, best ambient the AC can accomplish is about 84 degrees, running the whole central system continuously.

Might a couple of large window fans move enough air to help.
Not knowing where in the U. S. A. you reside and the outside temperature . . . I can only speculate you live in the deep South (I was born in Louisiana, and have lived in Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia in my 70+ years . . . . deep south). Here in north Georgia a couple of days ago it got to over 80.
I hope you figure out how to maximize your folding.
Walmart has a decent looking dual 9" fan for $32.50.

Yeah I'm in Alabama. It was 84 a couple of days ago. I've put a box fan in a window when it's cool outside which obviously massively helps, but not really helpful during the day at this point. The living room machine doesn't get nearly as hot but that's the one I keep having this stuck at "cleaning up" issue with. Freaking annoying.

I keep my main PC in the basement where it is cooler...I still run AC down there but upstairs it is unbearable. That PC will have to be shut down some time next month. Sadly...

Another week in the Hospital and I was driving to Texas to steal 'Hawks AC system... :sn:

My petition to keep him in there got stuck in the mail...

Move North
Yes yes, come live in NH. We get plenty of cold and you can use your systems to heat the house. Then when it warms up, put them in the basement. I was reluctant to put my fleet wireless, but it's nice to only have to worry about the power cable hehe.

Yeah another unfortunate thing of the south, 99% of houses do not have basements. I really can't stand snow so hard pass on the north lol.

Oh ya, if snow isn't your friend you'd not like it up here. The lack of basements of the south would make it hard for me personally. Not only the heat thing, but what kind of troll don't at least have a basement if not live in it :p
