I have been looking and looking but I can't seem to find out how to make a DOS boot disk with windows 2k.

*Obvious answers and newbie-mocking to follow*

You can't since Win2K does not implement DOS.

Go to BootDisk.com and download a Win95 or Win98 boot disk image.

If you want a BIOS flash boot disk then get the Caldera Dr. DOS image...it's the best for flashing.

W2K does not come with a copy of DOS. You can boot W2K form a floppy, but it takes 4 disks and quite a long time, and the command line you get is not anywhere as useful as a real DOS prompt- it's just enough to solve problems with.

You could always use a Win9X boot disk, it will work fine but be unable to read NTFS-formatted drives.

I want to use the GDisk utility that comes with Norton Ghost. In order to use it you have to be out of win2k since it does not use dos. It says to boot to dos......go figure on that one.
