I got xp 32 bit with 4gig of ddr3 1600mhz ram. Its only showing 2.7gig of ram so how do I figure out what size paging file should I use? Base if off 4gig or 2.7 then multiply by 1.5?

Dont worry about that 1.5x ram or w/e. I would set it to 2GB and leave it. I have mine at 1GB (and had it with 4GB ram as well) b/c of my SSD and no ussues.

right now its on custom from

Initial 1440mb
Max 2880mb

So just put both to 2048mb?

just let xp do it automatically on its own (unless your at a space constraint)

Your really ought to consider win 7 64bit to get the most out of that system.

how would win 7 64bit benefit me besides being able to use all 4 gig?
