Hi Guys, Im looking for some advice/suggestions as to which of the following set up would be the wiser one?

Iv been building a media PC, and iv got two options i can go with as for the Graphics cards i can install, Here is what im working with...

Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128435
AMD Phenom II X3 720 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819103649
Seasonic X760w - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] -_-Product

Corsair A70 Cooler

So which set up do you think id be better off with
One
GIGABYTE GV-N460OC-1GI GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] -_-Product

Or setting up the Crossfire with the two hd5770 cards i have?

XFX HD-577X-ZMF3 Radeon HD 5770 1GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] -_-Product

Again any and all suggestions, recommendations, and advice would really help, thanks!!

Firstly, I must say, good choice of Processor and Motherboard :p. I'd take Gigabyte and AMD any day of the week. You're lookin at some good hardware. My recommendation is to go with the gigabyte GE Force card. This could avoid a hardware conflict. I have had this happen to me everytime. When I choose a computer, or make one from scratch, I always tend to choose the same hardware. Again, to avoid conflicts. Hope this helps!

Hey thanks for responding, Im from PA also....So you think going with the one GTX640 is the best choice over an Crossfire set up? On my other build i set up SLI for the first time with two Palit NE5X460SF1102 GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) Now let me say im not a gamer, however i have these parts so i figured why not put them to use.

So for this Build, which again is my media PC Im also thinking about setting up a raid0 with two 500GB seagate HDs, then ill have 3 2TB drives for my music/videos/pictures...(I collect live shows on cd and dvd, im also in to photography. )

Again I am also absolutly new to RAID setups...On my other PC i set up two drives in a raid0 format.
So im thinking why not do the same for the media PC, it should speed things up a bit right?

Thanks for responding.

Personally, I disable RAID, for me it saves about 5 seconds of boot time. For you, since your building a media PC, put your drives in raid0 format, and, yes, I definitely think the GTX is the better choice. Again, this is based on dependability, and hardware conflicting avoidance. That's one thing I always try to do when I make a new build. I.e. If you look at my build specs, you will see I have an ABIT with an ATI Radeon. The only way I got this to work was not installing the drivers to my Radeon. I have noticed it certainly does not preform the way I had it on my old Build (Gigabyte GA-7DXR) All other hardware that I have now was in that old build of mine. Obviously Western Digital is a great brand for Hard Drives. I've had a lot of problems with Segagate HDD's, so I tend to stay away from Segagate, for you, those are GREAT drives. Again, glad I could help!
