Can NEW Radeon 6950's still be modded to 6970??

I know when they were first released that you could mod the 6950 and essentially turn it into a 6970. I'm just wondering if that still the case with brand new cards being made today?? Please only answer if you know for sure. Thanks!!

I believe the Sapphire Toxic can and the HIS Ice as well. It needs confirmation though.

Yep I just bought 2 Saphire Toxic 6950 off Newegg got the first one in last night.Flipped bios switch wala 6970.Will see in few days if 2nd one will do the same.

What is the overclocking potential on these cards.

Vanilla 6970 vs unlocked 6950

6970s are said to OC a bit more, but unlocked 6950s usually reach at least 950/1450 (with 1.25v)
