Y would an older card be better?

This is the newer card but the bandwidth and bus width are less than this older card,Anyone know wye this is?

Is it that the older HD4300 is better? i get a higher score on windows for it...
 
Within each generation of cards there are several different models released. Each model has its own specs. Some of the higher end models from older generations will beat out lower end models form newer generations.

An example is: GTX 580 > GTX 660

The newer generations will have other improvements (more vram, less power consumption), but in terms of performance, an older card does have the potential of beating out a new one.

And to add to that, the windows rating teeters on being a useless barometer of anything really. If yuo want to test those cards,

Run 3DMark Vantage on the same CPU/speeds and compare the GPU scores. :thup:
