Windoze 7 audio mixer control panel: one slider?

My XP Pro install has an audio mixer panel that includes sliders that control each speaker, all inputs and treble and bass. On Windoze 7, I get ONE slider that controls the output gain? WTF? How do I get a full featured audio control panel in Windoze 7? Even
CentOS 5.9 has a more fully featured audio control panel.

Right click on that speaker icon instead of left clicking in it, and you will see more choices.
