I could make a Crossfire with 2 7850 1GB, I have one and I could buy a second graphic for about 50€ that I think it's a bargain.

But I have some questions about performance today, it was a good choise counter a HD7970 but now I see that some games need more than 1GB VRAM.

For the good side, I only play 1080P resolutions, not 2K or 4K, so if I use in Textures the High and not Ultra it could be good.

I finally bought a Corsair VS450W that has 34A and I could use RBE7 to undervolt both AMD HD7850, although perhaps it isn't necessary:

What do you think about it?

For 1080p, 1GB is not enough anymore.

Some new titles already eat more than 2GB.

I'd sell the 7850 and grap a 7970/280x.

With asics miners flooding the market, you can get a 3 to 6 months old used 7970/280x for real cheap.

Do you think a R9 290 could be supported by my VS450?

It has 34A but I think that I could adjust voltage to down it.

450 watts is pushing it, if not all together unacceptable. Inadequate power supply is not something you want to toy around with.

Also, to echo the above, 1GB isn't going to cut it at 1080p now-a-days.
I recommend a stronger single card with a minimum of 2GB Vram, 3 preferably.

Edit: the R9 290's appear to all be 4GB, so that's obviously more than enough. And a great card.

What is the rest of your system? If you are running a modern Intel quad core, if both the gpu and cpu are at stock speeds, you could get away with a 290. But to be safe, I'd get a 550w psu.

That said, 1gb is not enough for 1080p. Sell it and go 280x or something.

1 FX-6300 @ 4300MHz with 1.37V, 8GB DDR3 with 1.45V, 1 HDD.
