The free one would only allow 5 people. There are other VPN like evolve and Tunngle. Evolve and Tunngle are made for gaming and are hosted through rooms, so make sure to password them or anyone can join.

That mode makes the server check usernames against the paid ones Mojang keeps track of.
If online=false, anyone can login with any username.

using hamachi i dont have to deal with the ip changing and port forwading

I use No-IP for an easy to remember static IP.
And port forwarding is easy
But opening the port didn't work here. Still was filtered

I really doubt it was anything Comcast was doing. I play LAN and private servers with my siblings all the time and we all have Comcast.
