Hi everyone i have choppy gameplay in many games i tried but i like to focus to dota 2
The game is running 60 fps steady with fraps
The frametimes are a bit messy i think take a look

Vsync off framelimit with source engine 60fps

I have tried msi afterburner and dxtory and radeon pro framelimit same results

I tested on windows 8.1 same results but when i tested on ubuntu microstutter was gone :??:
I have reformated multiple times no difference
With vsync on there is visible microstutter with vsync off the game feels choppy
The same thing happens on starcraft 2 divinity original sin total war shogun 2 and others
Anyone has an idea what is the problem??

Sorry for bad english

Have you tried over- or under-clocking the GPU to see if the issue goes away?

just tried clock speeds 850 1000 1150 with different memory speeds too no difference
i tried another pc with intel cpu and amd 6670 low graphic settings the card can reach stable 60 fps but the frametimes show same behaviour is this an amd issue??

Good point. However, he is playing several games that have this problem. Are they all CPU dependent? (serious question as I do not know)

Id try drivers first, then jack up the CPU... you could be right. ;)

I play total war shogun 2 and some of the other games he's playing and they are very CPU dependent. They run great on my 3930K :)

All good points... especially the three cards and the CPU horsepower it would need to run the cards at potential as opposed to one midrange card.

So anyway.......
1. Drivers.
2. O/C the CPU. ;)

I have a 4770K, Gig z87x-oc with one R9 280X running right now and with a small OC on the CPU all Microstutter dispersed. Yep a small OC did the trick :)

Odd. I never had microstutter with a single card and a stock CPU in the first place...anyhoo...

I hope SOMETHING works for the OP though.

This really rocked the games :D
I pulled one card to water cool it and now running TriFire in the 3930K :D

Maybe the OP should go CrossFire
