Looking for cheap(ish) monitor

So as the title says, I am looking for a cheap monitor (particularly for gaming). Does anyone have any suggestions? Are refurbs worth it?

110-120 was what I was looking at...but I guess I may be able to "pony up" 150, if that's what I need for a decent monitor. Either way, suggestions appreciated as I know ziltch about gaming monitors.

Is there going to be any sales of peripherals(including monitors) on Christmas, as it was during BlackFriday time?
I would suggest to wait some time, if you want good deals.

I mean I got Dell P2314h IPS panel for $150 with the help from ATMINSIDE. But the sale have finished several days ago and now it costs $200.

P stands for Professional series. Mid-end Dell Monitors.
U stands for Ultra sharp series. High-end Dell Monitors.

The other series of Dell monitors I have not researched, but I think there are no better monitors than P and U produced by Dell.

If I am wrong correct me please.

So, I guess I should be waiting a bit to see what kind of sales I can find. This one was apparently on sale for 99.99 during BF/CM sales...sadly I wasn't thinking about a monitor at that point in time..silly me

I'm a (mostly) patient person (unless you ask EarthDog). I can live with my old 720p for now...since sale season is still upon us.
