Hey guys and gals,

don't really do a lot of gaming. I have a client I built a PC a few years ago

2x 660Ti's with a 2600K, UD5 & 8gb 2133

He is playing at 5760x 1080 and is having trouble getting decent frame rates even at meager settings

Please recommend me a solution to play at high settings with a 4x dash of AA

Lastly looking for the cheapest solution, I or anyone can simply throw money at it

Thanks

You'll be looking at a 980 as a minimum.
That game needs the vRAM, so running a pair of cheap cards isn't really going to cut it.

yea, I was thinking that as well, what kind of Vram you think will be need at that res and settings ?

At that kind of resolution, depending on the settings desired I would probably lean towards a 980ti. I don't think 4GB will cover that game with surround. If it was a single 1080p display or 1440p it wouldn't be an issue. I'll see if I can find some reviews stating the VRAM usage of the game.

VRAM Usage looks to be OK even at 4K resolution:

Gives a decent idea of what cards can do. Granted there have likely been some improved drivers since that post, so expect a little better performance but nothing earth shattering.

Shows that VRAM usage between the various texture sizes is minimal, assuming that holds up I would shoot for a card that can play at 'high' settings' for the significant increase in graphical capabilities. And disabling hairworks makes a huge difference in performance.

Could he simply play it at 1080p in windowed mode? Other than maybe the upcoming Fury cards or a 980ti it's difficult think of any single GPU that can handle 4K even with playable framerates.
