Hello users and admin!

So I'm re-building a good portion of my machine, specifically my CPU, motherboard, and RAM. Here is what I had in mind, and I definitely want one of the new Skylake processors, so all other processors would be out of the question for me. Here is what I have in mind as of now, and please feel free to post another combination that might work better, or just work in general:

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117561&ignorebbr=1

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...3128838&cm_re=LGA_1151-_-13-128-838-_-Product
OR

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231888&ignorebbr=1

Please let me know what you think of this combination! As long as I have a motherboard that is reliable and stable I'm happy, but I would like it to at least be a mid-range motherboard.

Seems fine to me! I personally would get faster memory though. DDR4 2400 are DDR3 speeds! I would at least get some DDR4 2800-3000. Will you notice a performance difference? Not really, but I would still do it, LOL!

What RAM with those speeds would you recommend?

Also, would my selected motherboard work well for XMP if I were to get a faster set of RAM?

I would pick Ripjaws V 3000 CL15. 3000-3200 seems optimal frequency in most my tests and still should work fine on every motherboard without special settings.
Price isn't so much higher than for 2400 while some applications can use that couple of % higher performance. I wouldn't expect much higher performance in general but price difference is low enough to pick faster memory.
Then why Ripjaws V and not other series ? From available memory kits which I tested, I had no problems only with Ripjaws V at XMP settings. Most other brands still have no memory kits designed for Skylake. Even older G.Skills have problems to work at XMP settings on Skylake. Some are working, some are not.
You can of course set most memory kits manually but if you don't want or don't know how to then better is to stick with guaranteed memory kits.
