Interest in a Northeast LN2 party this summer or fall?

Hey funsoul,

Sorry to hear about your job. I will be bringing a second computer that I do not plan to bench on. I use this computer when benching to keep my notes and do on the fly research. I also use it to 're-image my drives when I Bork an OS. I would not be against running a stream in the background from this computer as well. If someone can walk me through the set up to stream from this I can get everything loaded ahead of time.

As for the power I have no major concerns about their ability to support our needs, like you said we will figure it it there. I will try to round up what I have for cords and strips and bring them as well.

Our man hotrod was at the venue yesterday and checked things out. We definitely need some extension cords. He also took some pics of the room...woohooo!!!!

I would grab some duct tape to tape down the extension cords. JIC there are no outlets near the center tables.

Threw a big roll in one of the boxes. Fortunately...remembered to grab our OCF banner, too!

Anyone have thoughts, ideas, etc regarding streams, posting of video, photo uploads, etc?

I was able to find my webcam last night so have that loaded up on my computer and am in the process of seeing twitch up. Figured I would just set up in the corner and let it stream a shot of the room throughout the day.

I saw over on hwbot that you need a switch? I have a little 5 port linksys packed in my box if that will help. I can probably come up with a router if necessary as well.

Hey just want to let everyone know had a great time meeting everyone at the party, also had a great time. Got some nice gifts from Corsair (special thanks to Joe the Corsair rep)




Also got a Keyboard from Corsair, gave it to lnlcooling for letting me try his Very cool new system, trying to get that magic 742..

Heya folks!

Just wanted to thank everyone for my best benching-related experience ever (so far)! What an outstanding time!!! I learned more from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon than I have in the entire time I've been benching!

It was excellent to meet everyone! What a great group of folks! Really was such a pleasure to get to hang out with the crew.

Going to write up the weekend experience and will link it here but until then....huge thank you's out to steponz/Joe for everything he showed me and getting Corsair involved. TREMENDOUS thanks out to Corsair for their awesome sponsorship!!! Also thanks go out to hotrod for hooking us up with the killer ln2 connection (plus being there for tank delivery and return). Thank you also to Pieter, hwbot and the super-kind OCTV crew!

Most importantly, of course, thanks again to everyone who made it to the party (as well as those who offered words, wishes and donations). You guys are what really made this event so hat's off to you! Now that the ice has been broken, hopefully we'll do more regional events in the future.
