ok so i have a gtx 960 2gig gpu in my current rig along side a proprietary power supply. so since i cant upgrade to a more powerful power supply with out rewiring the power supply, im wondering should i upgrade from my 2gig 960 to the 4gig 1050 Ti?

2 games i play that dont seem to play well with my current 960 2GB doom 4 and battlefield 1 i play them at 1920x1080

as u can see from the benchmarks here the 1050 ti does well in both games http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-...

so what should i do im kinda leaning for the 1050 ti since it has more vram

should i just keep my 2gig 960 and tuff these games out at very low settings or go for the 1050 TI

They are roughly the same speed and although the 4gb would give you a small boost i don't think it's worth trading. Why not the 1060 6gb, it has the same 6-pin connector as the 960/1050/1050ti and is nearly 2x as fast in most games.

i cant afford a 1060 [plus my psu is only 475 watts and its proprietary plus the 1050 Ti has 4 gigs of ram which will help out in doom 4 compaired to my 2gig 960

Then my advice would be tough it out until you have some spare to upgrade. There is only a few FPS speed difference in most games between a 960 and a 1050ti.

Seems like you already made up your mind :D Up to you always, we can only advise. IMO it's not worth getting a new GPU that does roughly the same as the one you have.

I have tested a 1050ti in my system almost no difference from my OC 950 ...
As long as the PSU isn't crap 475 is enough for a 1060 .

Save for a better CPU that's your problem I get 60fps in bf1 on high settings.
