Hi Senior,,,
Please allow me to share my problem (after that I will share useful information. I hope it will be... XD )
I've been read from several forum which give me the ambit. I cannot unleash maximum power for my Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66Ghz with that chipset G41 and P43.
I have 3 pieces MoBo G41 intel chipset from ECS, MSI, and Gigabyte. The FSB is da problam,, I cannot run it above 340Mhz (FSB wall) (PCI-E lock to 100Mhz). If I increase PCI-E to miracle number (104Mhz), then I could go up to 355Mhz (cannot go further than that).
What I'm afraid is,, I'll burn my GTX1060 if I put 104Mhz on PCI-E. FYI,, that ECS MoBo has FIX FSB 333Mhz.
I learn something,,, then I decide to buy P43 (from gigabyte. GA-P43T-ES3G) (because P45 is very rare. Even on EBAY right now). But then,, it stuck on FSB 420Mhz (PCI-E lock to 100Mhz). I read on other forum that when I increase PCI-E to miracle number, it will bump up little bit to 435Mhz (but unstable).
Now, my friend aboard asking me if I want him to bring Chipset P45 from China to my country. It is pretty much expensive for me, remembering that I've been put my money on 2 pieces of G41 and 1 piece of P43. (that ECS is not counted. Because it is the ancestor of my MoBo
LoL )
If there is Senior here whose having kinda experience with GA-EP45T-UD3LR from gigabyte,, would you happened please tell me if it doesn't have kinda fsb wall.. Because I want to have plan using it to 450~475Mhz someday. (ofcourse with prime95 10Hr test each 2Mhz increment. And soft adjustment on that CPU Voltage Vcore PLL Vtermination, DRAM timing, and so on). Please advise...??
For your information,, I just plug my keyboard and VGA monitor on my motherboard for all of my explanation above. I found that if I reach above FSB wall,, it won't do POST test... (remove the rest of hardware for good)
My CPU Spec:
Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66Ghz. RAM Kingston DDR3 PC10600 1066Mhz 4Gbx2pieces (8Gb). Video card Nvidia GTX 1060 6Gb GDDR5. Water cooling Enermax LiQtech 120S.
