Noob question

Ok I just got my router that I bought out of the classifieds here and I am going to set up my home network. I have a couple of questions first.

1. I am going to use this for folding and I dont want to use another monitor and I was wondering if there is anyway that I can set it up to use my one monitor for both comps.


2. I have the nics and ethernet cable and I was wondering if I need anything else before I try and set this up.

3. I absolutley nknow nothing about networking so if there is anything I might need to know before I get started please feel free to let me know.

Oh yea the router is a D-link dl-704 model.
