I am going to hook up a home wireless network for only 3 PCs to access one internet account. My parent wishes this to be done by 12th May (Mother's day).

I came see reviews of the following wireless routers, and they have simliar comments. As a result, I came here to seek out your professional advises. Which router should I buy to set up a 3 PC wireless network?

Belkin Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router F5D6230-3

By the way, is there any other model brands wireless routers you, professionals, recommend?

My Dad says the Compaq 2.4Ghz Wireless Access Point w/Built-In Router is cheap and tells me to see it if it is any good. (Saw on advertisement in this week's Best Buy catalogue) [US$149.99]

Would it worth buying this Compaq router? Don't see any reviews on the net...

I have a wired Linksys 4-port router and love it. I have not had any problems with it at all. I would not recommend the Compaq router. I had terrible problems with a 4-port switch I bought from them, although their wireless routers may be better.

If the Compaq one is a no-no what about the three I mentions on my first message?
Any comments on those?

Guess what?
Parents just bought the Compaq's wireless router and the reciever. I just found out when I came home from school this afternoon.

If fact, Compaq's wireless network is not that un-user-friendly or unreliable... I got everything worked out in less than 15 minutes.
the PC connected to the router with wire got a result of 1.6M and the PC connected to the reciever got 1.4M at bandwidthplace.com
For some reason it is not 1.5M and 1.5M. But anyway, it adds up to 3M which is the speed it should be.

Thanks everyone for the comment.
