I was checking this mobo out and I saw the memory specs:

DDR3 2000(O.C)/1333/1066 ECC, Non-ECC

Does this mean a 1600 ram wouldnt work? Will there be any problems oc-ing a1600 cl7 ram?

1600 RAM will work fine. Unlike 1600, I doubt there will be a setting for 2000.

I think was mentioned before (but could have been someone else's thread) increasing RAM speeds above 1600 (800 MHz) has little to no impact on RAM performance. If you're using 1600 CAS 7 that's great. Keep the latencies down and you're golden ... :)

1066/1333 MHz. are default RAM frequencies. The 2000 MHz. OverClocked rating for the mobo means that it has been designed to run RAM as high as 2000 MHz. though that would be quite rare with most AMD CPUs.

Your 1600 MHz. RAM should be fine as long as it's AMD Phenom II compatible. It will typically boot at the CPU default frequency. Then you can try adjusting the BIOS setting to see if your complete system will run stable at 1600 MHz. RAM frequency.
