Firefox 20 will be officially available in less than a week. Major change in Firefox 20 is the new Downloads Panel which flashes green arrows *every time* you download a file. Useful on first use, perhaps. But if you do not want to look at the green flashing arrows *each and every time* you download anything in the future, the only way out is to disable the new Panel and continue using the old download function just as you always have.
• Firefox 20 > To disable Downloads Panel so it doesn't flash every time you download a file:
Type this in address bar:
about:config
> browser.download.useToolkitUI > Double click on it to change its value to True >
View > Toolbars > Customize > Drag the Downloads Button into Customize Toolbars window > Done > Restart Firefox
