Losing data

House network, two machines running Win98 SE talking to one another. No probs with communication until I try to copy files across.
File gets copied, but somehow gets corrupted on route. It didn't do this last year, and it doesn't muck up network games either.

What am I missing here?

Did you install the latest VIA 4-in-1's? That is assuming that you have VIA based mobos.

I haven't touched the 4-in-1s in a long while.
