As all folders know; powering a computer costs money to run... electricity.

How much are you paying? (cents/kWh)

I'm in Ontario and the buggers stuck a new meter on and charge with a new system to help maximize overbooking infrastructure while making a little more money.

To combat this bullcrap pricing my computers don't fold on peak hours.

Well I live in sweden and pay like
1sek/kWh
thats like
13,4 US cent/kWh
0,15 AUD/kWh

Here Downunder our prices for Electricity has just gone up again.:bang head

11.0 Cents/kWhr AU (Off-Peak) used to be 9.0 Cents AU
19.35 Cents/kWhr AU (Peak) used to be 13.90 Cents AU
Plus a Daily Service Connection Charge of 75.0 Cents AU /Day

Ya, Ontario is having problems with supply these days. Here in Quebec we are blessed with hydro power and lots of it that we can export. We pay 5.45c for the first 30kWh and 7.51c/kWh after that with no peak charges, yet. 40.64 fixed charge/daY. aLL PRICES cdn.

a. Billing Months of June – September
First 800 kWh @ 3.795¢ per kWh
Over 800 kWh @ 5.773¢ per kWh

b. Billing Months of October – May
First 800 kWh @ 3.795¢ per kWh
Over 800 kWh @ 2.927¢ per kWh

Hoping my bill will drop a bit since I stopped folding on everything. The A/C isnt running 24/7 now lol.
Just my 2 rigs folding 24/7 for a month is 648 kWH.
