Hi,

Still with my Abit BG7 + P4 1.6a.

I checked my DMA settings (with various tools) for my IDE devices, they are enabled only for Master devices.

BIG problem:

There is NO "Advanced Settings" tab in the "Device Manager" > "IDE ATA/ATAPI" > "Primary" or "Secondary" > Properties

(on both WinXP and Win2k!), so I have no idea how I can enable the "DMA if available".

Pls, BG7 owners, what about yours?

Thx -- mrX

Where is everybody?

Please, BG7 owners, does this happen to you?

OS: as mentioned: win2k & winxp

Devices: any devices that usually work with DMA enabled if connected to Master.

Thx -- mrX

Specifically, what devices?

You can enable DMA manually through the device manager under primary/secondary IDE properties.
