O sh**!!! Imma stupid newb who used dentonator destroyer b4 I should have. I used the untility and it completely removed any nvidia related stuff. In the readme file that came with the detonator destroyer zip it said after the restart I needed to install the display adapter as "Standard VGA".....well my question is how the f*** do I do that.

Sorry about the language but it kinda ticks me off when the makers these things just assume people know what there talking about....

I guess its my fault though for jumping into it so quick..

Plz help!!!!!!!!!!1Thnx

Just download and reinstall the drivers again. That's just the standard display driver that Windows uses. No need to worry.

I think I might try the 40.71, since I really wasn't that impressed with 40.41.

Is there any other company out there that releases driver updates as often as Nvidia? (excluding Microsoft) :D

This is what I saw regarding the 40.71 driver set :

"
# Up to a 25% increase in performance
# Second BETA Windows XP / 2000 driver (if you are experiencing any problems with this driver please install the latest WHQL Certified driver
# nView™ 2.0 multi-display technology increases productivity and provides the necessary tools to control the way users access and view applications.
# NVRotate™ enabling image rotation on today’s advanced flat panel displays.
# NVKeystone™ allows for real-time image correction on portable projectors and heads-up displays.
# Digital Vibrance Control™ allows users to adjust color controls to achieve accurate, bright colors under all conditions.
# New control panel streamlines user interface and enables faster and easier access to all video settings
# Robust Channels enables higher faster performance and better stability for all applications through fail-safe paths in the drivers
# CineFX Simulator allows developers to use Cg—“C for graphics”—to write complex shaders in a high level language faster and more easily than before.
# NVIDIA’s patented Unified Driver Architecture (UDA) – supports all products in a single driver binary "

Hi,

Just tested this drivers (40.71) under W98 and W2K in my GF4 ti4200 and no problems so far (just tested a few games and 3dmark). Gained around 400 points in 3dmk2002 coming from 30.82.

Where are the people that were positive that NVIDIA wouldn't be supporting Win9x?
