Routers and Virus scan

Hey ppl, I just have a quick question. I'm planning on getting a router like this one http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...=sr_8_1/002-6990916-8261604?v=glance&n=507846

Does the 2nd computer need virus protection or does the computer that's comnnected to the internet take care of that?

I would say both need it because the virus scan on teh first doesnt scan the hdd on the second computer.

You need a virus scan on any computer that has a net connection or shares files with a computer that is on the net.

Ok, so basically everything gets connected to the router then? I thought that I could keep the main computer connected to the internet and because the data would be going from puter #1 to router and finally to puter #2, I didnt need a virus scan. I think I understand it kind of. I'll know better when I get the router.

You can have one computer scan all the others over the LAN with most newer software.
