Was wondering if they are appearing more frequently in purchases or is there still too much of a supply of old sspecs going aorund. Are there any manufacturing/revision dates coming up where they may be prevalent to begin buying.Personally was interested in a 1.4 or 1.3 in the tb1 steppins. How about these chips success at a 133 fsb. Not much info on the data base and only one guy I could find in the forums seems to have found a tb1 steppin chip.

I just got one from ebay, it's made in 2001 phillipines, strange, too bad my mobo is dead:( can't test it right now.
Currently Intel has discontinued all but 1.4g celeron tualatins, so I think TB1 is only produced in small quantities, the best way to find one is from ebay, ask the seller about the steppings, here is one for example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2078792891
TB1 stepping seems to overclock only slightly better than TA1 from what I read so far.

I bought one from ebay too. It was $45 for a 1.2 so it wasnt too bad. I think mine should go to around 138 or 140fsb. Im not sure yet because i need a mobo that can work stable at that high. My cuv4x will post it at 140 though.

I spent several hours today searching everywhere, but
can't find anyplace that will tell the stepping.

Even called 4 or 5 saying I needed one with 1.5v core, but
nobody would check.....

I was going to grab a 1.3 if I was sure it was tB1, but since I
cant wait anymore, I ordered a retail 1.2 from NewEgg today.

Will let you know if it is a tB1 or not. Hope it will do 133+ anyways....

Why don't you goto local stores and check them out. That is how I got my 1.2 cel-t that would do 1650MHz. It was a retail philly too tA1. In the tA1's it seemed the retail phillys did the best. With the new C1 P4's it seems that the oems are the best.

I am not sure which tB1's will be the best.

My 1.2 tB1 is an OEM (via Dell) from Malaysia if that helps you any.

Even if you can't get a tB1 get one that starts with SL6__

Thanks for the updates guys I should have called this thread report your tb1 sightings.for some clarity heres the sspecs from intel:

SL5VR 1.30 GHz 100 MHz FC-PGA2
SL5VQ 1.10A GHz 100 MHz FC-PGA2
SL5VP 1A GHz 100 MHz FC-PGA2

My interest is a tb1 1.4 that would hopefully do 133 fsb and from the chart of all the 1.4 the sspec SL68G is the only one that is still ta1 the others are tb1.The problem I see is that most suppliers have a surplus of these cause they came out first and will ship them to resellers before ordering new stock, but thats just my guess.

IMHO: Unless you're going for extreme cooling a 1.3 at 1.73 (133FSB) would be a more realistic goal.

And if you've got a motherboard and memory that will do over 133FSB you're better off with a 1.2 @ 1.74 (145FSB) like me because of the extra memory bandwidth.

That's just my thoughts.

I hope I get a 1.2 that runs like yours (or faster...) JCLW.

Ol'Man, you must not have noticed my location is Peoria ILL.

I checked at several local places, and had to explain what
a Tualatin was to the confused looking people selling parts.
They didnt have any.
