If you use alot of USB devices already then the USB solution probably wouldnt be for you. USB1.1 runs at 12MBits/sec and 802.11b wireless runs at 11MBits/sec so the wireless would use up most of your USB bandwidth, or you might not get all your transmission bandwidth.

If you don't use much USB connectivity then I say go for the USB one, from my experiences they are usually alot easier to set up and get running quickly whereas some PCI cards can give you unwanted stress, especially if you are using a PCMCIA card with a bridge.

Excellent advice, thank you. with that in mind i think i will get the usb one. ill use it for now and later ill have a roomate use it and split the cost of the cable modem.
