Has anyone been able to get this installed and running properly? If so how did you do it?
Seems Nforce 2 will not allow installation of a game port, but audigy2 wont install its drivers unless you can install the game port. Many over at the NforceHQs claim they cannot get this to work at all, and since thats what I have in mine, ready to be booted soon, I am curious if anyone has solved the installation problems of it.

Strangly enough they all say the Audigy works fine, it only applys to Audigy2 cards.

Heyas,

I don't have this board yet.. (fraggin newegg). So if this info seems obvious please excuse it.

Have you tryed to disable all sound options in the bios? So the gameport wont have an address ect?? If not that have you tryed to disable the onboard game controller & audio in windows? Then install the audigy2?

I should have been clearer on the board part.
The board has a onboard gaming port. IT states in the manual:
"If Installing a PCI card with a game port, the PCI game port cannot be used due to limitation of the Nvidia chipset. However, the game port on the MB will always function."
Which is fine and dandy except Audigy2 so far for everyone I have seen on all boards will not install unless you can install the Audigy2's gameport. Which atm is not possible.
Basically since it wont allow PCI game ports you cannot install the Audigy2's drivers.

Yeah, I read that too. I wonder what this means? Seems Creative Labs needs to address this issue. Maybe they have a way of getting around it, or maybe they wrote some new drivers? Maybe install the card, then manually update driver via device manager?

I have put in support for both Creative and Asus. It clearly will need to be addressed as the NForce2 board is a very high seller at the moment.
I am just hoping its not a issue that takes months to resolve and not one that Creative says is Nvida's fault and Nvida says is Creatives much like the typical VIA vrs everyone fights.

Some other threads on it at other places:

Several in this thread claim they have one and it works great, no problems..but gave no details how they did it..

I was just mostly curious if anyone over here actually have a Audigy2/a7n8x combo and had the same problems others are reporting.

I would think its rather simple. Release drivers that install the sound card, and not the game port.
