will my thunderbird 1.4 do 166 fsb?

Unlocking it always helps. I had my 1ghz Tbrid Axia running at 166 fsb. Im sure you wont have any problems, as long as your other components can handle it. Good luck! =)
 
if you get the multiplier too low the over clock is less effective.
 
only way to find out is to try. I had my 1.33 up to almost 1700 @152, so you never know how high it can go...

i managed to get mine (default 14x100) up to 10x166 (stable) vcore 1.77, tried at 10.5 but it wont POST

although i'm experiencing wierd things with my DIP some multis work some dont, even at default 100 (see post in AMD Motherboards - Gigabyte)

CPU is a 1.4 Tbird - A1400 AMS3B, AYHJA 0136 APHW
