Alright, I'm at college in a fraternity house, and we all have shared folders on our computers so we can view each others documents. I have Windows 2000 Pro and I can't figure out how to make a folder on my computer generally available so that people don't have to log-in, use a password, or anything. Everyone else uses XP. How can I do that?

In Computer Management, expand Shared Folders, then select Shares. Right-click the folder/folders whose permissions you want to change, and then select Properties from the context menu. Select the Share Permissions tab. If you want to change permissions for a group, select the group and then the permissions you want to give them, from Full Control to Read.
