installed my innovatek system last night.
Its teh maxexpert rad, i used thicker tubing but same diameter, P4 rev3 blocks and also Geforce 4 blocl, eheim pump.
My 3.06 running at 154fsb is around 37/38 idle and 46/47 full load in Prime95.
I was expecting a bit better and the jump to load temps is quite high and happens immediately when i lauch prime95. But teh 3.06 does run quite hot so maybe i was expecting too much. Temps before on air were 46 idle and around 54 load so its still been reduced a lot.
If i increase the 120mm fan speed it doesnt really do much .... maybe the idle drops a littel bit like half a degree. But what i am worried about is teh CPU and the thermal paste. I dont have much experience applying paste etc. and never know:
1) how much to put on
2) how even to get it
Can it really make a big difference if you mount the block well on eth cpu with thermal paste versus a bad mounting ?
any pointers or advice ?
cheers
