Promise: Fastrak TX2 & TX2 ?????

Are there any newer/other features on the "FastTrak" Card that make it better ????

One of those cards is a RAID controller, the other is just a standard drive controller.

The older Promise ATA100 cards could be converted into RAID cards, take a look here.

But you might be better off to buy the RAID card if that is what you want.
