Okay, I have some generic (guh...) PC3700 that I bought to put in my brand new NF7-S. I only bought this memory so I could get my board up and running, as I was using some PC133 crap before this. It, of course, has not reached 466mhz at even the most relaxed timings so I am going to take it back to the retailer after I finish stressing my mobo.
Now, my dilemma is that I need to find some good memory, at a good price too. Being in college, I have the unfortunate side effect of... being poor. So I am looking to spend a maximum of $250 for a dual pack (1 gig only) of memory that can do at least 225 mhz. Any suggestions on what to get?
I have been looking at the Geil PC3500 kit.
