got my 900a

well i got it yesterday
stuck a 92mm enermax adjustable fan on it to get replace my AX-7 with a 50cfm sunon
now compaired to the AX7 this 900a is very small and i was hoping for maybe another 75-100mhz out of this Tbred-B 2100+
but instead i got jack
this chip hit a wall and all i can say is poopy about it
but hey at least its quieter

I've had a little better luck replacing my AX7 with an SLK 900A. I've been able to squeeze another 200 MHz out of my 1700, with much lower temperatures (43C while running Folding at Home). And that is in spite of the fact I had to go to 1.9 from 1.75 to get that additional speed.

I didn't have as powerful of a fan on my AX7 as you did, and I also went from AS3 to AS5.

under full load im at about 39C
which is about 5C under the AX7

Why are you complaining then? That is pretty good for a 2100 on air...lol

EDIT: The wall may be your ram not your temp.

i know the ram isnt the wall as i have PC3200
and all that testing was done at low FSB speeds with high multi's
