which one should i keep ? Radeon 9000 NP or GF4MX440 ?? HELP !!

i have 2 graphic cards, which 1 of them will be given to my younger brother. the 1st card is GF4 MX440 running
at ultra fast 300/600 and my 2nd gc is Gigabyte Radeon 9000 NP running at stock speed 250/400 which cant be OCed
at all..

which card should i keep? i know the 9000 was born to be a GF4MX440 killer but this one running at 300/600.

pls guys.. which card should i "dispose" ????

Keep the Radeon and ditch the OCed mx440..

dude, the radeon9000 does NOT have dx9. keep the mx440, itll totally blow away your slow radeon9000. That thing is not even a pro. I speak from experience, I had a radeon9000 pro overclocked to 315/315 and its maybe 10% faster than my mx440 at 330/550. your mx440 is clocked higher and your 9000 cant oc so your mx440 would totally blow the 9000 away. probably even in 3dmark 2001 as well

thanks guys.. a DX7 card from Nvidia beats out the DX8 card from Ati..

this 9000 really sucks.. ATI "locked" it from OC.. it is clocked 250/400 but it has 4ns memory... i hate ATI

off topic, what's the model of ur ti200 card which can be OCed so high?? is that at stock cooling + no Vmod ??

Curious, but what have you been trying to overclock it with, and what happens when you try to overclock it?

chaintech at 250/525 and yes all stock. I have seen people oc as high as 270/570 with gainward golden samples and many of them overclock around what my chaintech does

when i tried to OC it a lil bit, the just refused to accept the new clock.. it kept on resetting..

u can go to rage3d.com and read the forum there.. there is still no solution for this, they're still working on this though..

it's very hard to see chaintech or gainward card here, but there's a lot of MSI and Leadtek, do u happen to know how these cards OC ??

Well, I agree with overclocker550....I have the 9000 pro and the mx440. The 9000 pro is a tiny bit faster, so I would think the non-pro would definately be slower. Also, if you are dying to overclock the 9000, which I am not sure if you are or not, you could most likely get a new bios that supports overclocking. That's what I had to do with my 9500pro. Kind of a pain, but then it would most likely beat the mx440.

Not true. the 9000 pro is easily faster then any geforce 4 mx overclocked or not, and the 9000 non pro is faster then the mx440 and close to a mx460. look at benchmarks dude, im serious.

The MX440 will probably run faster, while the 9000 non pro will look better. With the MX440 you will be missing out on pixel shading and other DX8.1 features. It's a tradeoff, depends on your preference.

sell one of them to your brother for a few $$$, sell the other one somewhere for a few $$$ and buy a radeon 8500

lol in 3dmark if my mx440 ran nature it would be right as fast as the 9000 pro I sold.

9000 non pro beats mx460 50/50 so it would beat mx440 most of the time

id rather have a geforce4 mx440 anyday over a radeon9000 non pro. the 9000 pro isnt much better than an mx440 but since it has dx8 it edges ahead. I am serious and I speak from experience. the 9000 is a crippled 8500 so it is far slower than a 8500!!!!!!
