Does anyone know of a way to place phone calls through the internet for free? There use to be dialpad.com but that went to crap. I'm looking for something. Software or website it doesn't matter. if you know of anything let me know.

yahoo messenger in the tools options you can place calls
even long distance for free

what's the lag like? Can you carry on a casual conversation? or is it horrible?
