I dont see how that would be very effective in moving air outa the case. I have seen similar kinda exhaust fans before and people have said that they are generally not very effective. Sorry I dont actually know if they are any good or not ;) .

its not an exhaust fan, its an intake fan i beleive

looks like it goes in your 5 1/2 bay. Its an intriguing looking design, and they push around 30 cfm. theres another one there thats just two fans and pushes 80. That might be more useful. Might try installing one on my next case

Its says exhaust fan in the description of the item and it goes in a PCI slot. Where did you see that it moves 30 cfm? I couldnt find anything in the description. Anyway I spose it couldnt hurt to try it but I really dont think its gonna work.

My experience with PCI slot mounted exhaust fans have not been favorable...Both of the ones I tried had little or no effect on system termperature...Both of them made a bunch of noise...;)

that pci exhaust fan is ineffective. They have intake fans at the bottom and exhaust fans on the top for a reason. hot air goes up and the main amount of heat is coming from the cpu which is more often then not on the top. PCI slots are below all of that, and that makes it inefficiant.

As for that 80 cfm blower...
" Give your case a 30 Degree Celsius drop from a massive 80CFM airflow"
that is total BS.... water cooling won't even give you a 30c drop...
it might be a little effective, expectually if u don't have a lot of exhaust airflow at the in your case, otherwise i wouldn't expect more then a 3-5c drop in CASE temp. to top it off, the price is outrageous.. you can get somethign similar or the same thing off ebay for ~1/4 of the price... oh wait that canadian :p 1/3 :)

If you ask me.. i'd invest money in some regular fans.. (good quality for best noise:cfm ratio) as well as some ducting. Either homemade or from a online computer store, you'll get better results then any of those exhaust fans.

Both of those designs (and products) are old. The PCI mounted unit never did much. Eventually they tried to market it to cool video cards like the TNT2 by exhausting (and sometimes blowing) air near the card.
The drive bay model is also very inefficient, and 80 cfm is never quiet, especially blowing out those close, tiny vents.
They are old, ineffective designs that didn't sell. I'd guess about 8 to 10 year old designs. Tiger probably picked them up for pennies.

These actually work well if you need a bit of extra exhaust. They are decent if you have a stock heatsink on your video card, if one of these is placed under the video card they do a decent job removing the hot air around the video card.

I suggest you buy one of of Ebay because at the Moment I am boycotting Tigerdirect for being a scumbag vendor, plus $10.99 +shipping of about $5-$7 is ridiculous.

You can get one here for $7 shipped and its the same thing

This is a bit more, but it has ball bearings and will last longer
