Hi, New member building an athlon 64 and need some help selecting memory. I would like to overclock this new system but can't decide on memory. Probably would be content with a small overclock so I am leaning toward 2 sticks Kingmax 512MB DDR PC-3200 which is on the qualified vendors list of Asus K8V motherboard I intend to buy.

But, from reading some of the posts here, I wonder if I might be able to squeeze out a tad more performance by going Muskin Level 1

Appreciate any help.

BH-5 memory is best choice with an A64 (Socket 754). Check the sticky.

You won't get much of a performance gain by choosing
Mushkin Level I (Winbond CH-5 chips) over KingMax PC-3200 (KingMax chips).
