Will the athlon 64 work with any game?

ive heard that the athlon 64 is not compatible with todays games but will be comp with the newer games coming out but then ive heard vice versa wot is it actually compatible with todays games like call of duty and counter-strike coz i mite get 1 thx in advance

the Athlon 64 is compatible with all current games......

I have one and have no problems. It will run all 32 bit games just fine.

Older games, and possibly many for this year wont take advantage of the 64bit extensions, but those are just that extensions like sseII... execpt that to fully take advantage of those extensions you need a 64bit ready OS.
The anthlon 64 is a full 32bit chip, it in fact runs a lot faster on current games than the athlon XP.

Eh, yeah, no problems here. It's fully x86 compatible, so it should be able to run anything.
