Would this be worth the money for a noob to do minor stuff on like cut out fan grills and maybe a blow hole or even a fan whole or acrylic window? Is the cheaper one enough or should I get the $30 one (mail-in rebates never work for me)?

i second that.... nice rhyme with the title though

Im fairly sure that Nikota is a cheap rip of of the quality brand Mikita, 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for when it comes to tools... so dont be surprised if it doesnt preform well or breaks if you buy a cheap one.
