I just got a cool idea!! everyone knows that pennys are plentiful and some years are made of copper!! now how about if wee take those copper pennies and bend up 2 edges so that it fits on a ram chip and has 2 fins!!!:D now lap the bottom and apply to chip
:D I'm definatly guna make a ton of these for my 1 gig chip of DDr thats comming in :p this should prove to be 100% better than those aluminum spreaders from thermaltake. If you wanted you could take it one step further and solder another fin to the center.

from one who has tried to lap a penny DONT its just not worth it and it get realy tireing. Abe looks flat but he shure isnt.
 
It's been done. Check Spodes Abode. Surlyjoe's ram cents were the original.
